The Marathon grandstand is modular and the steel structure consists of a metal frame with stepped uprights resting on three height-adjustable feet to compensate for any unevenness of the ground.

The uprights and diagonal bars of the supporting frames are made of square steel tubing. The step tops are made of press-folded non-slip sheet metal and are attached to the supporting frames with a safety lock.

The grandstand, consisting of load-bearing frames and tier plates, is stiffened with vertical, crossed bracing tubes (St. Andrew's Cross) and secured to the frames at the rear. In addition, the tribune is stiffened in the horizontal plane.

Assembly: simple, fast and safe; a 10-module grandstand can be installed by three people in three hours.

• Equipped with fireproof green polypropylene seats (other colours on request) to guarantee maximum comfort for spectators.
• Wheelbase of each module: 180 cm.
• Step height: 40 cm.

• To calculate the total footprint, consider the sum of the modules plus 16 cm per side.

• Complete with side railings, side gates and rear railings.
• Sorting steps for the audience with non-slip surface: one row up to 7 modules; two rows from 8 to 15 modules.
• Each frame is equipped with an M8 thread for the earthing clamp.
• Load capacity: vertical load 600 kg/m² and horizontal thrust resistance on the rails 200 kg/m.

Selvoline grandstands have been designed and manufactured in compliance with current regulations:

• Ministerial Decree of 17 January 2018 (NTC 2018) ‘Technical Standards for Construction’;
• EN 1993-1-1 EUROCODE 3 ‘Design of steel structures’;
• EN 13200 ‘Installations for spectators’ replacing UNI 9217 (withdrawn);
• EN 1090-1 ‘Execution of aluminium steel structures’.

Selvolina, as imposed by the above standards, fulfils the following requirements

• it is certified ISO 9001; ISO 3834-2; EN 1090-1 which allows marking on products (EXC3);
• is qualified as a Steel Transformation Centre by the Central Technical Service.

The structure is supplied with:

• overall drawing;
• fireproof certificate of the seats;
• technical report signed by a qualified technician with the practical verification of the operating loads with the following values
  • imposed vertical load category C5 uniformly distributed of 600 kg/m²;
  • horizontal load equal to 6% of the imposed vertical load with permissible deflection 1/200 (ratio of deflection deflection to span or appropriate overhang);
  • horizontal buoyancy resistance on railings of 200 kg/m
• declaration of conformity; declaration of performance (DoP) and CE label;
• user and maintenance manual complete with assembly steps and spare parts manual.
