The Compatta grandstand is a modular structure with a steel frame, consisting of tiered uprights resting on height-adjustable feet to compensate for any ground unevenness. The posts and diagonal bars of the load-bearing frames are made of square steel tubing, while the steps are made of press-bent anti-slip sheet metal, securely attached to the load-bearing frames through a safety locking mechanism.

The entire structure is reinforced with vertical bracing tubes arranged in a crossed pattern (St. Andrew’s Cross), fixed to the frames at the rear. Additionally, the grandstand is further stiffened on the horizontal plane to ensure stability.

The assembly of the grandstand is simple, fast, and safe, optimizing installation time.

• Steel structure with anti-corrosive hot dip galvanising treatment.
• Fireproof wooden benches 9 mm thick, screwed to the steps to ensure maximum comfort for spectators.
• Wheelbase of each module: 180 cm.
• Step height: 40 cm.
• Depth of the steps: 70 cm for the lower tiers and 50 cm for the top tier.
• Centre distance between seats: 45 cm.
• To calculate the total footprint, consider the sum of the modules plus 16 cm per side.
• The maximum capacity of the grandstand is indicated in the table in the dedicated catalogue.
• The grandstand is equipped with side railings, side gates and rear railings.
• Sorting steps for the audience with non-slip surface: one row up to 7 modules; two rows from 8 to 15 modules.
• Each frame is equipped with an M8 thread for the earthing clamp.
• Load capacity: vertical load 600 kg/m² and horizontal thrust resistance on the rails 200 kg/m.

• Total depth: 231 cm, including the first step.
• Height of the top step: 120 cm (excluding railing).

• Total depth: 367 cm, including the first sorting step.
• Height of top floor: 200 cm (excluding railing).

Selvoline grandstands have been designed and manufactured in compliance with current regulations:

• Ministerial Decree 17 January 2018 (NTC 2018) ‘Technical Standards for Construction’;
• EN 1993-1-1 EUROCODICE 3 ‘Design of steel structures’;
• EN 13200 ‘Installations for spectators’ replacing UNI 9217 (withdrawn);
• EN 1090-1 ‘Execution of aluminium steel structures’.

Selvolina, as imposed by the above standards, fulfils the following requirements

• it is certified ISO 9001; ISO 3834-2; EN 1090-1 which allows marking on products (EXC3);
• is qualified as a Steel Transformation Centre by the Central Technical Service.

The structure is supplied with:

• overall drawing;
• fireproof certificate of the benches;
• technical report signed by a qualified technician with the practical verification of the operating loads with the following values
  • imposed vertical load category C5 uniformly distributed of 600 kg/m²;
  • horizontal load equal to 6% of the imposed vertical load with permissible deflection 1/200 (ratio of deflection deflection to span or appropriate overhang);
  • horizontal buoyancy resistance on railings of 200 kg/m
• declaration of conformity; declaration of performance (DoP) and CE label;
• user and maintenance manual complete with assembly steps and spare parts manual.
